The blind rivet is installed in a pre-drilled hole. The result is a lightweight, neat and strong joint that performs well in use. Typical applications for closed-end blind rivets include structural joints and sheet metal joints in various industries where tightness is of particular importance. In addition, a joint made with it withstands vibration better than an open-end blind rivet. The blind rivet is suitable for joints that are not intended to be dismantled.
