Keep brake fluid clean and dry. Contamination by dirt, water, petroleum products or other materials can lead to brake failure or costly repairs.
Store brake fluid only in its original container. Keep the container clean and tightly closed to prevent the accumulation of water. Do not refill the container and do not use it to store any other liquids. Dispose of used brake fluid responsibly (EU waste code 160113). Brake fluid damages paintwork – if spilled, wash off immediately using plenty of water. When using Würth 5-litre brake fluids, pierce the centre of the foil seal and screw on the tap. Do not attempt to remove the foil seal, as this will prevent the tap from being properly sealed.
Vehicles
Brake fluid must be changed every 2 years. Follow the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations when adding brake fluid.
