HSS SMART STEP Deepcut stepped twist drill bit
The multi-functional stepped drill with AlCrN coating and unique SMART STEP technology for high-precision, flexible use in sheet metal and, for the first time, allows drilling of thicker workpieces made of conventional steel up to 1300 N/mm² strength, cast iron, aluminium, brass, bronze, Plexiglas, plastic, and wood.

Precise, circular holes
No tool changes and shorter machining times
- Eliminates pre-drilling with smaller twist drill bits, precise spot drilling without running off-centre
- Eliminates additional deburring, as the next largest step diameter performs this function

Flexible, smart use

- Make sure that the feed is even
- Observe the speed table
- Do not push during core drilling — the stepped drill bit will automatically retract into the sheet metal
